blogging > gramming?

i have sort of fallen out of love with instagram. i still check it regularly, but i'm down to about 1 post per week and just never really feel too moved to share anything. i get all OCD about how my feed looks, and have lately just avoided it. but i do want a space to share my thoughts and favorite photographs of my life and family, so here we are at the blah-g. and here are a few recent fav photos of mine that i just haven't shared elsewhere. 

colter LOVED swimming at little america. he loves the freedom his life jacket gives  him and i love the freedom it gives me! 5 stars. 

poor little ez got his tooth fixed in denver only to have it go bad on him a few weeks later and need it pulled. he does amazingly well at the dentist though. "best patient ever" is what i keep hearing. anyway, good job ezra!

I don't take many photos of myself these days, but sometimes i see myself in the mirror and just have to laugh and snap a pic. bad-A sunnies, shark backpack and a grocery bag of wet, children's life jackets. WINNING.

colter got a dolly for christmas and his reaction was just the cutest. THAT FACE THOUGH. 

since i started my LAST SEMESTER of college before i graduate with my BFA, colter has started his second (and last) semester at UVU Wee Care. we love it there. can't imagine being able to finish my schooling without it. this is colter after i picked him up on the longest day he's ever spent there (6.5 hours!) and he is still just so happy and sweet. not always happy when i drop him off, but ALWAYS happy when i come to pick him up. 

these two have been freaking me out the past few days with this horrible face they like to make. seriously makes me cringe. funny and terrible at the same time. SIDE NOTE: tonight we read books in colter's queen bed and then i turned off the light and closed the door and they fell asleep! it was barely after 9pm! no relying on ipads or iPhones to make it happen, IT JUST HAPPENED. and then justin fell asleep roughly 10 minutes later while i was talking to him. that part is normal. 

okay, so we took our whole family to see STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS. i was pessimistic cause i've never watched star wars before and worried about Ezra and Colter sitting through 2.5+ hours in a movie theater. but they DID and star wars was awesome. colter fell asleep for a bit but they were glued to the screen otherwise. so so fun. and colter loved the angry birds set up and made me take his picture with it afterwards. 

when we are all posing for a family selfie and husband is too concerned about backing up the car. 😾

here were my most popular posts fron 2015 (on instagram). def some good ones but if i were picking my favorites it would look different than this.
