the bombay house.

i'm a picky eater. i will just come out and say it.

i have many things to thank for this. first, my mother, who is an excellent cook which made me begin to expect everyone else to cook as good has she does.

second, i probably am a picky eater because i just always ate at home. my family wasn't rich growing up so i never had to try food from other cultures. i just ate what my family ate.

so, over time, i developed taste buds that just like certain things. but i am trying to break out of my shell as much as i can/need to. i survived half a month in some very remote cities in brazil, so give me some credit!

anyway, my adventurous friend celia decided to go to the bombay house for her birthday dinner. since i am such a good friend, i went, assuming i probably wouldn't like it, but i would give it a try.

this may also do a good job of summing it up for me.
it was worse than i expected. ha ha. i don't think i really understood what "spicy" meant before this experience. needless to say, i had to go to wendys after. but i give myself credit for trying things (even though i didn't try EVERYTHING they brought out). and i have now experienced indian food. wow.

my face pretty much sums it up for me.

my friends liked it, though!
have you guys tried indian food before? what do you think?
