new beginnings...

hey everyone! alyssa here.

well, seeing as how i haven't posted anything since forever ago, i will give you a quick run-down of my life lately. biggest news? i'm pregnant. thanks a lot, husband. ha ha but no i am really excited. i am 11 weeks along right now and am due march 16 2010. we are hoping for a girl because mike & val have 2 boys and jamie & jon are having a boy too (congrats to them, they just found out). so i think these families are pretty much due up for a female. but we don't have any names for a girl so if we are having a boy, at least the name will be easier to choose and he will have lots of boy cousins to play with.

last week justin and i celebrated our 1 year anniversary! we spent a night at the Little America hotel in SLC, hit up some vintage stores, the gateway, went to dinner at Tucanos, and saw (500) Days of Summer. Which was fantastic by the way, I highly recommend it.

i'm starting at UVU again on Wednesday.. and i am actually really excited to start learning things again. even though i took classes this summer it feels like my brain has been idle. and my creative juices are wearing out, so i am excited to get back into it again. i'm taking digital imaging which i am super excited for, 3-D design, fundamentals of business math, and history of art from the renaissance. so it really is a fun schedule for me. it always helps to take classes that actually interst you.

i am still feeling a little sick in the mornings, and usually wake up around 9 or 10 each day. so it will be a big adjustment to get back to waking up around 7 and trying to find something that i can handle eating and get to school by 8 a.m. hopefully it won't be too challenging.

justin is taking 15 credits this fall, all the classes he needs to take to get his bachelor's over with. so all of his classes are tough upper divisions and he is doing his senior seminar, while trying to work enough hours to pay the bills. he will need more luck than i will probably. but i am so proud of him! and it will be awesome when one of us can work full time again. which will be him, this spring.

life is good. we're so lucky to have so much support from our families and friends. i don't know where we would be without you guys! well, i hope this brings you all up to speed with the sorenson family. i for sure want to post more things because i enjoy reading your blogs and i hope i can write some that are enjoyable as well. i also have my photography blog that i have been updating. its alyssatakespictures.blogspot.com. check it out, constructive criticism is welcome. love you! muah!
