blogging my madness

late night thoughts warning--

you know when you look back on the journals you wrote as a kid and you were all like "i played with amy today and it was fun" and you are all like omg could you be any more boring. me too. and sometimes that is my natural inclination when thinking about blogging our lives (because lets face it i never ACTUALLY blog our lives). but i DO find value in saying "today i rode bikes with colter and it was fun" because i DID and it WAS. and these kids will grow up and be gone before i know it so whywhywhy don't i document my actual thoughts and feelings about our time here than the occasional (or frequent) instagram post?

so, no idea when i last blogged but i will try to catch you up as best as i quickly can.

biggest first: we sold our house. it randomly dawned on us to sell our house when our neighbors did and got a good price and the market was just right. we did FSBO and paid a smallish fee to have a place give us an MLS number and do our paperwork. booooring details! maybe i will do a separate home sale piece later.

other biggest news: we are building a house! in eagle mountain (but seriously its on the border of saratoga and not waaaay out there). we picked everything to the best of our ability and are likely less than a month away from closing. oh. em. gee. jokes i never say that

EZRA is starting K next month and that hasn't really sunk in yet. will soon but not yet. still in denial. COLTER is a little fireball of sweetness, intensity--sorry i mean INTENSITY, and long curly blonde hair and the biggest, brightest smile known to man.

JUSTIN is killin' it at Sandy (i assume) and just keeps us all sane and together. love him. also he sold his truck to my parents' company and is in the market for a car, so thats always exciting..

I am working about 10-15 hrs/week at Clegg Steel and most days bring the boys with me. usually give em a dollar after our shift which is fun. they do pretty good but sometimes drive me crazy. other than that i am just trying to hold down the fort during these long summer days in our little two-bedroom living space at mare's house. justin's mom is so sweet to let us stay here. sometimes i fight with her new dog Josie but its fine. ezra is in heaven getting to play with his best buddy dylan for hours most days and they get into a lot of mischief together. colter and benson don't really play besides colter loves to chase benson around which makes benson cry. their relationship can only go up from here, folks.

i've done a lot of photo work this summer which has been fun and kept me busy. looking forward to getting back in classes for my senior year of college (finally) and just really excited for that. plus all done with generals so yay photo classes!

thats enough of a quick catch up. i'll try to write more to catch up a bit on all we have missed. i'd say a post a day but we leave for the tetons in two days so maybs have to wait til we get back, but i'm going to try, dammit! sorry for swearing.

some photos from today, because why not:

snack break!
arguments with my dad about what my railing will look like

worried lyss watching the USMNT play

colter and isaiah at nene's house waiting out the rain

you'd think we had enough bikes and trikes and whatnot but no i ordered colter a balance bike and it gets here tomorrow! also ezra learned how to ride a bike thanks to his aunt nene (and a lil of gma and a lil of me).
this is a few weeks old but CUUUUTE
